Vacation Bible School 2010!Join us for a "High Seas Expedition" at Vacation Bible School 2010 at Hampstead United Methodist Church. High Seas Expedition VBS is open to all kids in the community from 4 year old rising preschoolers through rising 5th graders. High Seas Expedition VBS takes place from 9 AM till Noon, begins June 21st, and goes for the entire week. Read on to find out more about this year's incredible VBS adventure:

No matter what station they're exploring, kids will hear the daily Bible Point–and experience it in a new way! At High Seas Expedition, the daily Bible Point is carefully integrated into each station’s activities to reinforce Bible learning. Each activity is an important part of kids’ overall learning experience—kind of like the pieces of a puzzle.

At High Seas Expedition VBS, kids join a skipper Crew where 5 elementary-age children form a small group. Each Crew has an adult and a teenage Crew Leader. Crews rotate through five stations every day, and the daily Bible Point is reinforced at each station throughout the day in creative ways.

DAY 1		Are Chadder and the crew lost at sea? BIBLE POINT: God's word is true. BIBLE STORY: God frees Peter from prison. (Acts 12:1-19) BIBLE VERSE: But you are near O Lord, and your commands are true. (Psalm 119:151)
What did they hit in the middle of the ocean. BIBLE POINT: God's word is comforting.. BIBLE STORY: God comforts Paul in a storm at sea. (Acts 27) BIBLE VERSE: "Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles." (Psalm 119:50)	DAY 2
	Will Captain Bleagh figure out the map to Anderon? BIBLE POINT: God's word is surprising. BIBLE STORY: Paul survives a bite from a poisonous snake. (Acts 28:1-10) BIBLE VERSE: "Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions." (Psalm 119:18)	DAY 3
Can the crew steer without a ship's wheel? BIBLE POINT: God's word is life-changing. BIBLE STORY: Peter and John teach about Jesus. (Acts 3:1-4:12) BIBLE VERSE: "Give me life through your word." (Psalm 119:37)	DAY 4
DAY 5		What will Chadder tell the people of Anderon? BIBLE POINT: God's word is for everyone. BIBLE STORY: The community of believers share. (Acts 2:42-47) BIBLE VERSE: "Your fatihfulness extends to every generation,as enduring as the Earth you created." (Psalm 119:90)

Schedule

Start:	Bible Point. Crews discuss ways they've seen God at work in their everyday lives - called God Sightings. Bible Voyage Kids experience the daily Bible Story in a hands-on way, and then have small group discussions with their Crew Leaders, where they connect their unforgettable Bible experiences to real life. Sing & Play Splash In addition to fun praise songs, kids sing at least one song that specifically ties to that day's
Rotation:	Ship Rec Games Kids play games that connect with the daily Bible Point or Story. Clipper Ship Crafts & Missions Kids make Bible Point crafts that remind them of the day's Bible Story and Point. Snack Shack Each day at High Seas Expedition we have a different prepared snack for the entire VBS. The Snack preparation crew provides kids with a unique opportunity to experience the daily Bible Point by their serving others.
Finale:	The Floating Finale Drama experience, signing the Sing & Play Splash songs, and watching the Spotlight VBS Drama presentation help kids remember and apply the daily Bible Point and Bible Story they've learned throughout the day.
